The Look Development Project for Samsung Gear VR is a visually striking exhibit design intended to captivate and engage visitors from afar.
Spearheaded by Altered State Productions' 3D artist, Roberto Barrientos, the exhibit's centerpiece, a large, glowing VR symbol, was designed to draw attention from all directions. This glowing effect, which extends across the exhibit's top, was implemented to guide the viewer’s gaze throughout the space, ensuring that each element within the exhibit visually connects. The design emphasizes the immersive nature of Samsung Gear VR, featuring dedicated zones for hands-on experiences as well as a central sales section to facilitate customer interaction and engagement.
3DS Max was used to sculpt the exhibit’s intricate design, with V-Ray providing the photorealistic rendering that brought the project to life. Final enhancements were made in Photoshop, where details were refined to ensure the exhibit’s rendering delivered a cohesive brand experience. The exhibit reflects a careful balance between form and function, making sure that while the aesthetics are eye-catching, the user experience remains intuitive and engaging.
The thoughtful design and execution of the exhibit stands out, enhances the overall visitor experience, and offers a visually compelling environment that draws visitors into the world of virtual reality.
